TOLHUISKADE

Tough, circular, lively, varied and ready for the future. That is Tolhuiskade all the way. You don't live or work alone in this spacious neighborhood on the northern bank of the IJ in Amsterdam; you are part of that!
You don't live or work in this spacious neighborhood in Buiksloterham, on the northern bank of the IJ in Amsterdam; you are part of that! Whether you are looking for a nice living environment for your family, or want to enjoy with your partner
a dynamic part of Amsterdam or you want to establish your company in an inspiring place: Tolhuiskade is your home port.

Various “city plots”

The Tolhuiskade plan consists of various so-called “city plots”. Cityplot is a method with which a very mixed and varied area can be created. This creates a future-proof neighborhood with different people, buildings, building functions and housing types. So optimal variation!

Inspiring living and working environment

Tolhuiskade is the home port for people of diverse nationalities and ambitions. From families who want to offer their children a responsible living environment to entrepreneurs who are inspired by the industrial past. And from visitors to expats, each of whom contribute in their own way to the vibrancy of this part of the city. All those people together form a dynamic collective that together uphold the qualities of Tolhuiskade!

Varied offer

Tolhuiskade offers space for a variety of apartments, single-family homes and offices. Modern and timeless buildings that all have something of their own. The purchase prices for the apartments range from approximately €350,000 to approximately €750,000. The purchase prices of the single-family homes amount to approximately € 800,000 (including 50 years of surrendered ground lease and excluding parking space in the parking house).

Sustainable and circular

Living and/or working in Tolhuiskade also means: being part of a sustainable environment in which ample attention is paid to circularity. Trees are an integral part of the architecture of the houses. They provide oxygen, coolness and shelter. And keep the residential area green. Water storage takes place above ground and thus becomes a visible, essential part of the plan area.

Living with water

Water plays a determining role in the perception of the area and the Tolhuis Canal is an essential part of the district. The quay is no longer a hard boundary between water and the city, but is considered part of the public space. The access roads to the district gradually slope towards the waterfront, visually drawing the water even further into the district.
